My husband's in a golf outing that day, so I'm going to drag all mine down there, just for the experience. I'm sure I'll regret that decision when we're in the midst of it, but I think in the long run, it will be cool to say we were there and I'll be happy we did it. I'm with Allie...I think we'll try to figure out public transportation.

I'm sure I'll see you there. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9895345.post-90171152591474887002008-08-21T10:39:00.000-05:002008-08-21T10:39:00.000-05:00i think it would be worth it to go and just be nea...i think it would be worth it to go and just be near it all. there is no way i would want to be stuck in the middle of all those people on such a hot day. but on the outskirts, yes, its worth it. i will probably take the bus downtown.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9895345.post-32125957902475542742008-08-21T09:48:00.000-05:002008-08-21T09:48:00.000-05:00JP,Sounds like a good plan. I’ll e-mail you later when/if I can work out a plan to get out of the house that day.

Oh, and this post wasn't a bleg for a ride or a parking spot or anything from anyone. But I'm glad it kinda turned out that way.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06368635217133898734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9895345.post-17015620949307557402008-08-21T09:36:00.000-05:002008-08-21T09:36:00.000-05:00Well if you do go, and you want a overweight middl...Well if you do go, and you want a overweight middle age smart ass as company let me know.

I have similar plans. Take a camera, and hang out at the various edges of the event.

One would have to go very early to get there and be close enough to make it really count.

I'm hoping security is much tighter than last time despite any inconvenience to the crowd.

Which means even a longer line, and more needing to go pee while standing around.

So I have a similar plan, just hanging out at the edges of the event taking photos - so I guess I can claim I was there years from now.

I have an assigned parking place a few blocks away, and would pick you up, and bring you home if you want.

I'll even be nice to you if you know what I mean.

JPJeromeProphethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01408226707299885597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9895345.post-48845347113643998042008-08-21T09:17:00.000-05:002008-08-21T09:17:00.000-05:00Dan,Yeah, kids (or kid) may be a problem for me to...Dan,
Yeah, kids (or kid) may be a problem for me too. Mrs. TEH is going to be out of town most of Saturday and I have the 5 year-old boy who likes to spend Saturdays with dad. I’m hoping I can get his high school age sister to watch him while I go downtown. I can’t take him. The walk from wherever I park, which might be Fairhills Mall by the time I get going, will result in a walk that he won’t be able to handle. And once there, he’ll become a royal pain as he’ll be bored just standing around. So, even being able to go at all is still in question for me.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06368635217133898734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9895345.post-34135624938576856442008-08-21T08:51:00.000-05:002008-08-21T08:51:00.000-05:00I'd like to go, even if I can't get close, just to...I'd like to go, even if I can't get close, just to experience the whole thing. Unfortunately, my wife is working that afternoon so I'd have to take four kids with me who'd rather be at Knight's Action Park than seeing (or not seeing) the presumptive next president.

Plus, they'd probably get bored at the Brewhaus, unless they serve chocolate milk and agree to switch the ballgame to the Disney Channel.BlogFreeSpringfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08314548731839300032noreply@blogger.com
