Yeah, it's one of those hair ties your wife/GF/daughter leaves around and they always wind up on the floor and you are the only one who can pick them up. I don't think they really use the things, or at least not as many as are on the floor, but rather scatter them around to piss us off.I took the above photo in our kitchen and I know I had picked that one up at least twice already.

Now if you stretch them they can make excellent weapons, but not as good as rubber bands.
I used to save them too, but they piss me off so much that I just throw them out - after several days of trying to ignore them.
ask my husband about bobby pins.
