Apparently, memorial makers aren’t the best spellers. I think this has more to do with historical and geographical ignorance than anything. Some of these errors, if they are that, are understandable given traditional and non-traditional spellings actually exist. But “Berma”? And I’ve never seen Arnhem ever spelled any other way. Maybe Springfield can market this as a bad spellers memorial as well. As a recovering bad speller I think such a memorial is long over due.
