War By Popular Opinion

This is interesting. Peoria area blogger RandomActOfKindness takes a libertarian point of view on the draft.

For me, there should be no reason to register for a draft because a draft should never be necessary. If the cause being fought for isn't good enough to inspire people to join the fight, perhaps we are fighting for the wrong reasons and shouldn't be fighting at all.

Right now, with the U.S. military is having a tough time meeting recruiting goals, I guess society is voting on the popularity of the Iraq war. And what about all the chickenhawks? Do they really not feel the war is worth fighting?
