Paint Balled

You know, if people were allowed to carry concealed paintball guns, this wouldn't be happening.
The Springfield Police Department is investigating 10 reports of someone shooting paintball guns at people and property throughout the city on March 8 and 10. The damage has been minimal, but in at least two cases the perpetrators aimed and shot a paintball gun at senior citizens walking on the sidewalk.

The acts appear to be random, police said.

The men are described as white, one with brown hair. They are in a dark-colored Pontiac, possibly a Grand Am or a Grand Prix.

Of course, any paintball conceal-carry legislation would have to mandate extensive training and background checks ensuring no one would bother with it.

Seriously though, I did see a group of paintballers this weekend creeping around a neighborhood just off of Veterans Parkway. Not saying they had anything to do with the above paintball crimes against humanity but I did think it a bad idea for them to be practicing their warcraft so close to real houses and people and cars.

This type of behaviour angers me as paintball already gets enough flack from health and safety / politically correct evangelists without morons like the two in the article adding more fuel to the fire.
