Therefore, in addition to being a pro-slavery terrorist, Obama is a Nazi. Case closed [/wingnuttery].

Obama wrote in his autobiography, "Dreams from My Father," that while one of his great-great-grandfathers was a decorated Union soldier, family rumors also say he is distantly related to Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederacy.
Reitwiesner found in 1850 Census records from Kentucky that one of Obama's great-great-great-great grandfathers, George Washington Overall, owned a 15-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man. The same records show that one of Obama's great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers, Mary Duvall, also owned two black slaves -- a 60-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman.

What does one's ancestry have anything to do with how a person will serve. As an avid genealogist, I have my lineage traced back to a former bishop in Llandaff Wales who is descended from native Welsh royalty; does that make one ounce of difference in anything.
It is funny that the media is making such a big deal of Mitt Romney as well, digging up that a couple of his ancestors practiced polygamy. Big friggin deal; like none of those in Congress have multiple wives/lovers...even if not sanctified by paper
It just shows how intertwined we all are - and how utterly stupid it is to judge people based upon race.

It is hardly surprising to learn that Barack Obama has slave onwers in his family tree. Virtually all Americans, regardless of their race or ethnicity, have ancestors who owned slaves. Many African Americans who researched their family trees would be shocked to discover that have black as well as white ancestors who were slave owners. In the United States, free blacks as well as whites owned slaves (one of the South’s biggest slave owner was a freed black man notorious for his harsh treatment of his slaves). The percentage of free blacks who owned slaves was small, as was the percentages of whites who owned slaves, but the intricacies of the genetic pool guarantee that virtually everyone is related to them. African Americans who traced their heritage back to Africa would discover that virtually all their African ancestors were involved in the slave traded. The African tribes ran the “supply side” of the Atlantic slave trade. The ancestors of Hispanic Americans owned both black and Indian slaves. American Indian tribes practiced slavery both before and after the European discovery of America. The Cherokee Nation, for example, voted yesterday (3 March 07) to revoke the tribal citizenship of about 2,800 descendants of Cherokee slaves. It seems only Americans of European descent feel obige to feel guilty about slaver
Mrs. Bill Clinton continues to try to dig up dirt on Obama. Now she is going after his blind trust investments. Hell, it is his money, let him invest in the companies he wants. He actually lost money on some of his investments, unlike Mrs Bill Clinton who make 100k on cattle futures.
