The Illinois Bureau of Tourism is conducting an on-line survey to determine the “Seven Wonders of Illinois”. It looks like they are going to pick one place form each part of the state. The only entry from Springfield is the Cozy Dog Drive-In. (Not exactly what I would call a “wonder”. Sure, it’s historic in Route 66 sort of way but it just a fast food restaurant.)
Anyway, if you want Springfield to have a “wonder” you better go here and vote for the Cozy Dog. While you're at it, vote for wonders in other parts of the state here. Meanwhile, Cubs (and Cardinals!) fans might want to intervene in this contest.
