That’s My Bush!

This may be the most infuriating story I’ve read in months:

WASHINGTON: The Bush administration said Tuesday it will fight to keep meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease.

A beef producer in the western state of Kansas, Creekstone Farms Premium Beef, wants to test all of its cows.

Larger meat companies feared that move because, if Creekstone should test its meat and advertised it as safe, they might have to perform the expensive tests on their larger herds as well.
Oh my God.

This Kansas company wants to voluntarily test its product. The Bushies say no because it will raise expectations among the unwashed masses that their meat should be safe. Testing can’t be tolerated; it might result in greater expense to large meat producers because they won’t be able to sell bad meat. Thank goodness for the Bush administration which is always there to look out for the big guy.

Worst. President. EVER. And just under two years to go.

This administration is no doubt the most corrupt in the history of the U.S. - except for the Grant Administration.

This is unbelievable. With all of the poison in the pet food, one would think that it would be a GOOD thing to test as much food as possible. This is not a mandatory test. This administration is not good. But, it is not the worst ever, that award would go to the Carter administration.

Well, at least Grant served his country during war. Geez.

Dave,

Kinda worried that you are unknowingly inviting pervs to come visiting your blog with the title of this post...after all, when I googled "that's my bush," (as I often do) this blog was one of the choices that popped up for me.

RickMonday,

Comparing Carter to George W's administration is unbelievable.

I was around for Carter, and believe me there's no comparison.

True, the economy was hit with high inflation, gas prices were spiking at the time.

Also, Iran held our spy core, I mean diplomats too.

In the end, despite the timing, Carter managed to obtain the release of the hostages without going to war with Iran.

As for the inflation?

Let's see Reagan came in, and deregulated the oil industry which of course allowed more drilling - NOT!

Reagan came in, gave the Saudi's what they wanted - increased dependence upon foreign oil, and for the quid pro quo of our increased dependency - which haunts us today - we ended up getting cheaper oil.

It was like a drug dealer lowering his price to keep the junkie from moving off of his drug of choice.

That wasn't good for the nation in the long run, and now we're in peak oil, and we're all going to pay a very big price as we must do something to head off a looming economic crisis - not to mention several wars in the Middle East which we've been forced into to secure our oil supplies.

Carter was, and is a highly intelligent man, who worked tireless during a time of economic crisis. He was dedicated to human rights.

Bush turned a time of economic responsibility, into a wholesale rush on the nation's treasury.

Tax breaks for the super rich, and record deficits.

And then there's this little war that we'll never be able to get away from - that's really helped the nation, and regional stability in the Middle East.

We either stay there forever, or leave. Either choice is incredibly bad for the people of the region.

Pre war cost to contain Sadam Hussein for a year was just 1.7 Billion Dollars (no fly zones).

That's a year.

Cost per week for our little quagmire in Iraq is more than two billion dollars.

That's a week.

And there's so much more. In every department there are scandals. Try watching CSPAN. Non stop Congressional investigations into illegal activities at the highest levels by Bush appointed cronies.

Cronies with the main goal of circumventing the protections which government provides to the average tax payer, and consumer. Cronies "regulating" the industry they just left, and will return to after the "serve" their nation.

Is Bush asleep at the wheel - no. He's deliberately corrupt. It's not that he couldn't care less - no he's corrupt to the core of him. He knows what's he's doing. Down to the fake Twang that seems to impress the self made men, and trailor trash that continue to support him after all they know about him.

Carter, like Grant served their nation while Bush spent his time in the National Guard doing soft duty, tooting coke, and going AWOL - all without consequence.

His successful business was a front, which was purchased by the Saudi's to slush millions of dollars in payoffs to the Bush family.

Self made man?

He's the worst president this nation has ever had.
