Wayward Woodward

I used to have a lot of respect for Bob Woodward largely due to his part in the breaking open the Watergate story in the early 1970s. Woodward and his Watergate reporting partner Carl Bernstein became household names –no easy feat for a couple of investigative reporters. He was a hero of my youth to some extent. But in recent years Woodward has become somewhat of a whore, openly shilling for the Bush administration. I had lost most of my respect for him already but this news (in the Washington Post no less) shows he really has become the lowest form of media hack and maybe even a criminal.
