Read the headline...
English-speaking family barred from bus
Now read the story.
A little different wouldn’t you say.
CNN’s version of the headline isn’t much better. I’m not even going to look at what Fox News has done with it.
But hey, so what if it's wildly misleading as long as it's infamatory enough to get the xenophobic wingnuts to click the link or buy the paper.

What if it had been a Spanish speaking family?
I have already read the stories, so I'm aware it's more complicated than the headlines suggest, but what do you believe the headlines would say, if some little children had been told they couldn't take the bus because they don't speak English - an all English speaking school, which sends out special buses which won't allow non-English speaking children to ride.
Would it be "Wingnutty" for the Spanish speaking community to be outraged?
I'm not saying anything here, I'm just wondering what you believe.

It had nothing to do with what language they spoke. Per the story:
"The reason Armstrong's children were ineligible to ride the bus was that they lived outside the school's attendance area, she said."
Reread my comment will you? You'll see the words, ".., so I'm aware it's more complicated than the headlines suggest,". I guess you didn't want to address my question, Mr. PC? - JP
