Earlier in the week, Australian Prime Minister John Howard came out strongly against Barack Obama’s call for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. While a spokesman for Obama quickly shot back at Howard, the Obama camp decided to go ahead and incorporate the Australian PM’s concerns into the Obama peace plan for Iraq.
